Forty-Eight Years on Valley Job Sites
Doug Adair started in plumbing in 1972 at seventeen, working for a brother-in-law, and opened his own company in 1978. What followed was decades of new construction across Arizona — building relationships with contractors, taking on tract subdivisions, and at one point running one of the larger plumbing operations in the state. Thousands of homes across this valley were plumbed by this company. That is not marketing language; it is what the last five decades of work actually consisted of.
Builders We Have Worked With
Over the years that has included BB Living, who are still building today, along with US Home, Engel Homes and Trend Homes — all three of which have since gone. The Valley's building industry has changed enormously, and a lot of the names from the busiest years are no longer trading.
How the Business Has Changed
It is worth being direct about the market. It used to be that plumbers were plumbers, framers were framers and concrete contractors did concrete. Now a handful of very large outfits do all of it, and they will discount one trade to win another — undercutting a framing bid in exchange for the plumbing package. Some builders take that deal and some do not. What we offer is a plumbing contractor who does plumbing, has done it here since 1978, and will do what was agreed.
